Last week, Texas Convergent hosted its Fall 2020 virtual Demo Day, showcasing a range of projects and products built by students in the computer science, business, engineering, and design school at UT Austin.

Each semester, students in the Build Team program go through the idea brainstorming and product development process to build a minimum viable product that addresses a problem that the students identify. Meanwhile, students in the Incubator program work with student startup founders to develop the technical, business, and design aspects of their products.

Their hard work culminates in Demo Day, where build team members and incubator startup founders have the opportunity to pitch their solution and demo their product to a panel of judges.

Here are the highlights from this semester’s event.

Day 1

Sixteen build teams across our Public Health, Data Analysis, Social Impact, Remote Applications, and AI-Powered Tech cases presented their products over Zoom.

Day 2

Five incubator pods pitched their startups and build team awards were announced.
