TxStreet has always been fun to watch, but now a new level of interaction is coming.
The first set of TxStreet Characters are here in the form of collectible character cards.
Given the time of year, the first set will be called “Holiday 2020” and will feature just 3 characters:
Santa: The gift bringer
Snowman: A living snow sculpture
Helper: An altruistic elf
What can you do with these?
All NFTs will have multiple uses on TxStreet besides being collectibles.
Set Your Character on TxStreet
On the top menu on the Ethereum Street, click on the character icon. Connect a wallet like Metamask to login. From here you can choose a character from your inventory and click “Set”. You will be asked to sign a message and after that, all of your transactions will use this character. This will be visible for everyone!
Play Games
Coming in 2021. There will be two types of games on TxStreet: educational and competitive. Competitive games will require you to have a character set. Educational games will always be free and will not require a character. Educational games are for beginners to learn how to use cryptocurrency, while competitive games are for more experienced players to compete and win rewards. Different characters will have distinct traits to help players strategize.
Enter the VIP Lounge
A new kind of street coming in 2021. It will be viewable by anyone, but only those with characters will be able to walk around, chat and interact.
How to Get Characters
You will be able to buy and sell Characters on OpenSea using the TxStreet storefront.
The distribution of the Holiday 2020 set is as follows.
Santa and Snowman: Only 101 of each will be minted.
Helper: Available for free in this giveaway until January 3, 2021 1pm UTC.
Card Sleeves
TxStreet introduces a mechanic into NFTs: damage. Just like in real life, collectibles that are taken proper care of will remain in the best condition, and retain the most value. Those that aren’t will eventually become damaged.
Every time a TxStreet NFT is transferred or traded without a sleeve, it will accrue 1 damage. Every 2 damage and the condition will drop 1 point out of 10.
Sleeves will be for sale on the TxStreet storefront, and you can apply sleeves on your inventory screen at TxStreet.com. Applying a sleeve will burn it.
Sleeving your character cards is completely optional and only for those that want to keep NFTs in the best condition. Buyers will most likely be looking out for sleeved cards to purchase.
