· There are four main types of blueberry bushes including lowbush, highbush, hybrid half-high, and rabbit eye. Blueberries thrive in acidic environments, so the soil pH should be between 4 and 5.

· Similarly, blueberry plants have shallow roots, so it is important that one selects a soil that adequately retains moisture.

· Ty Ty Nursery states that for the best results holes should be approximately 20 inches deep and 18 inches wide, with at least 5 feet of space left between rows. Likewise, it is better to use organic materials such as oak leaf mold, aged sawdust, peat moss, or compost to fertilize the plants and optimize growth.
