inHAUS Exhibition: Creating New Zealand’s First Collaborative NFT Showcase
On the 21st of January, New Zealand’s first collaborative NFT exhibition, inHAUS: Exhibition, was hosted by us at TyanHaus!
As usual, it was a collaborative effort. The Tyan team put in the hours to get the walls up, and after a few late nights our humble warehouse was polished and ready to go! Special thanks to Property Enhancements for the painting and TES for the outstanding lighting and sounds, plus a shout out to Jenna at Fiksate for coming in and sharing her gallery design wisdom with us - its always a pleasure working with these guys.
Axia Labs flew in over 30 local NZ NFT artists and photographers. First up, an afternoon of drinks at Mr Brightside prepared everyone for the evening ahead. The opening night was a complete success! We had a sellout crowd, with an awesome evening of networking, drinks and music, along with some inspirational talks from James Waugh and Joanna Hollings! Most importantly, we had local artists’ NFTs flying off the shelves (or rather, walls).

Throughout the two-week exhibition we had a steady and diverse stream of people through. Veterans of the space and curious newcomers with no background knowledge came through in equal numbers to share their thoughts and questions with the artists, the team, and each other. Opening people to the idea that NFTs are more than just expensive cartoon apes, and can be a medium to celebrate and increase exposure of our amazing local artists was one of the real successes of the project.
The exhibition brought many like minded individuals together under the same roof to share ideas and form friendships. In the wake of the opening night, the most important question of the exhibition was finally addressed… Wen breakfast? Subsequently, WenBreakfast DAO was formed and the discord now has over 80 members. The aim is to collaborate and create a network of inspiring individuals who can help each other out with art, NFTs and crypto education.
