The Fontli — Android Conjecture

Type Talk

Three years ago, we told type lovers and the Fontli community why we couldn’t make an Android app.

We had a small crew (we still do) working on Fontli apart from their regular jobs and we simply didn’t have the time to give an Android app the attention it deserved. No Android app seemed like a better option than a bad Android app.

But loads of nice people we talked to were pretty bummed about it.

Fontli is meant to be a place where anyone can share their type work and also talk about inspiring typography around them. With no Android app, we were missing out on a large section of people whom we’d love to have on board.

Not anymore.

We’re incredibly excited to announce that Fontli is now available for Android!

If you want to share type that makes a difference to you — like a well-designed typeface or vintage signage — this is exactly the place to do it no matter which phone you use.

We’ve tried our best to make an app you’ll love, and we’ve revamped the app design for the better. But Fontli is still a work in progress. If you encounter any bugs or problems, shoot us an email to info@fontli.com and tell us about it. It will help us make Fontli a better place for type lovers.

We’re also introducing a brand new feature called Collections. You can now add your photos to a collection like lettering or signage, which will make them more discoverable.

Got an Android phone? Join the gang!
