Writing down the knowledge and ideas you process and synthesize in your mind is a skill that is considered to be essential as a knowledge worker. This is because the document you are currently writing, becomes a resource for other people and yourself in the future.

Every knowledge worker engaging in any form of writing is in an endless cycle between the mind and the written down text. What was once an idea becomes information, then information becomes inspiration of other written documents. The produced outcome, information in the form of text, feeds the cycle, increasing its frequency as more information is accessible by more knowledge workers.

It is basically a positive feedback loop that feeds itself. It’s growth cannot be stopped.

Today, the majority of writing done by knowledge workers reference other written resources that contain information that were once ideas synthesized and stored in someone’s mind. Workers find inspiration and confirmation in previously written text to strengthen the idea and argument of their writing.

The cycle is inevitable to the point where all ideas created in the mind today are synthesis of knowledge based on previously recorded information.

However, the human mind’s capacity is extremely limited. It has access to a surplus of information, but is not capable of recalling all essential knowledge when needed.

This is why we are building Typed.

Typed is the perfect workspace for knowledge workers. Every feature and detail of the interface is designed to provide a seamless transition from mind to text.

Typed extends the capacity of the mind. It leverages the increasing speed of the loop, becoming more powerful as more knowledge synthesized is recorded through writing.

Typed enables the mind to reach new heights. Collective knowledge coupled with a mind fully focused on synthesis leads to an extremely productive outcome.
