First we have WordPress themes, then we have no code web builder, but now we have AI Web Builder. Building a website has never been easier. But as new builder launches every week, let me recap what I’ve used so far and list my Top 5 Best AI Builder.

Every few years, there’s a leap in web-building technology, and now it’s AI’s turn. AI can build highly customized websites catering to anyone’s product needs. This is all thanks to context; unlike no-code builders or WordPress templates, which are made with just a general sense of usage, you have to customize them for your product.

Things got better with no-code web builders. Platforms like Squarespace, Wix, and Typedream made it easy for me to build beautiful landing pages. They offer not just a framework but a customizable one. Now, whether it’s easy to do so is another matter.

Balance between Messaging, Content, and Design

Even with the best no-code web builders, writing the actual page is still a challenging task. I have to figure out how to deliver my message, yet make it easy for people to navigate and enjoy my site. Building a beautiful page is easy, but is it SEO friendly? Is it structured well? If you’re like me, these things are the source of my headaches. This is why we have AI web builders. If SEO is the only thing that matters than you might be better off with a separate content writing AI, like copy.ai, but we know that’s not the case. We need an AI that can provide an all-inclusive package.

With AI web builders, the AI part of the web builder can understand what you’re trying to build and give you the right buttons, words, and page structure. It allowed me to create a website that wasn’t just functional but felt uniquely mine, and most importantly, tailored to the exact needs of my product. Now, I can focus more on building my product instead of tinkering with smaller stuff like this.

How I Rank Them

I like new technologies, always have been, and when the new gen web builder comes around of course I spent months trying each and every one. After trying out more web builders than I care to admit, I’ve narrowed down my criteria to three deal-breakers: user-friendliness, customization, and pricing.

User-Friendliness: If I need to read manual or spend hours on reddit to figure out how it works, it’s a no-go. I’m looking for something that feels natural, like when you use ChatGPT for the first time. In a way it feels like talking with a friend — intuitive and straightforward.

Customization: I want to see my personal branding reflected in my website, not just pick from a menu of pre-made templates that have been used by a thousand other sites. So the generated web has to be customizable, both with prompt or with a more traditional web builder

Pricing: Let’s be real; the budget is always a consideration. I’m all for investing in a good product, but there has to be a balance between cost and value. If it’s going to cost me an arm and a leg, it better be worth it.

Top 5 AI Web Builder

1. Typedream AI

Best AI Website Builder for SaaS Software and Service Businesses.

Typedream AI Website Builder

After testing numerous platforms, Typedream stood out for its simplicity, flexibility, and affordability.

User-Friendliness: Typedream’s interface is intuitive, making website creation straightforward and efficient. The platform guides you smoothly from conception to completion, eliminating the usual hassle associated with web design. Using Typedream AI feels as easy as using ChatGPT 4 to generate images from DALL·E.

Customization: Customization is one of Typedream’s core offerings. Unlike its competitors, which use a single prompt to describe the site, Typedream allows you to build each section with multiple prompts. After generating the layout and the contents, you can edit your web with Typedream’s editor. It allows you to edit the pages without ruining the overall look.

Pricing: With three plans for different business sizes and needs, Typedream offers clear competitive pricing:

  • A free plan to get you up and running without any cost
  • A Startup and Business plan to launch and grow your website

It’s perfect for those who are starting a new business or creating a personal site whilst the premium plans can cater to designers and SMEs.

2. Wix

Wix is widely recognized for its comprehensive design flexibility and an extensive library of templates, making it an ideal choice for both beginners and experienced designers. However, its AI is somewhat limited to designing, the text generation is pretty simple and limited.

User-Friendliness: The AI is quite simple; in fact, too simple. It will create a template based on the prompt you give, but it will not fill your page with text like Typedream AI. After you get past that, Wix’s drag-and-drop editor and AI-powered Wix ADI (Artificial Design Intelligence) make it incredibly easy to design a website without any coding knowledge.

Customization: Wix is highly customizable; you can change anything you want, from buttons to fonts and sections, all using a drag-and-drop editor. For the texts, you can add them later after the web is generated.

Pricing: Wix provides a variety of pricing plans to cater to different needs, from personal projects to large-scale businesses, ensuring there’s a suitable option for every user. It’s a bit more expensive, but if you have the budget and prefer a highly customized webpage using their free-form drag-and-drop interface, go for it. However do note that whilst drag-and-drop means you can change anything freely, it also means you might ruin the beautiful template you chose earlier by moving a section or a button around.

3. Jimdo

Jimdo uses AI to simplify the website creation process. It has a free tier that you can use before deciding to upgrade. First, you choose a template, and then you describe what you want. Jimdo will suggest the fonts, colors, and pages you need. However, the AI part also stops there; you will have to work on the builder after the initial web is generated.

User-Friendliness: With Jimdo’s AI-driven website builder, users can get a website up and running in just a few minutes. The platform asks a series of questions and then proposes a website design based on your answers. It’s simple enough if you don’t need a very custom-looking website.

Customization: While Jimdo offers less customization compared to some of its competitors like Wix, it still provides enough for the web to be usable.

Pricing: Jimdo’s pricing is competitive, offering various plans that include all the essential features needed to start and grow your online presence. They also offer a free plan for basic use.

4. Unbounce

Unbounce is best known for its landing page capabilities and conversion optimization tools, rather than being a traditional website builder. It uses AI to help users create high-converting landing pages. Unbounce AI is good for making multiple sites for users who need simple landing pages.

User-Friendliness: Unbounce’s Smart Builder uses AI to make the creation of landing pages easier. It’s designed to be a fast web generator.

Customization: It offers customization for these landing pages, but emphasizes marketing performance instead of the overall look of the site. It has dynamic text replacement and A/B testing capabilities to fine-tune your pages based on user behavior.

Pricing: Unbounce’s pricing reflects its advanced features, targeting businesses and marketers looking to maximize their online conversion rates. In short, it’s quite expensive.

5. CodeWP

So, I’ve been using WordPress for years, right? Honestly, it always kind of felt like I was just fumbling around in the dark, hoping not to break anything whenever I tried to change anything on my site. But CodeWP AI Builder, though, it’s for those who understand a bit of coding and want to work on the inner workings of WordPress, and it’s been a bit of a game-changer for me.

User-Friendliness: The whole user-friendliness part is no joke. You basically chat with it, telling it what you want in plain English, and it just gets it. It spits out the code you need. For someone like me, who never really got the hang of WordPress’s internal codes, this felt like having a WordPress expert tutoring me. However you do need some level coding abilities.

Customization: CodeWP is limitless when it comes to customization, since, unlike others on the list, CodeWP directly gives you the code, so the possibilities are endless. It’s not like I’ve turned into a WordPress expert overnight or anything, but now, when I want to customize my site, I’m not as worried about messing something up. I can make changes and see exactly what’s happening, which is pretty cool.

Pricing: It’s not exactly cheap. But considering I can now do stuff on my own that I’d normally have to pay a freelance developer for, it feels worth it. Plus, not having to restore my WordPress site to the last backup version every time I broke it is really nice.

Why Typedream AI Stands Out

  • Better Context: Typedream’s AI is trained to understand your product so it can generate a better copywriting for your website.
  • Better Flow: Unlike most AI web builders, Typedream allows the use of multiple prompts. You can revise generated sections and pages back and forth until you until you have what you want
  • Better Editor: Keep in mind, after an AI generates a page, customization is essential. The technology for AI web builders to create a fully deliverable webpage is here, but you still need some degree of customization. Typedream’s web builder is noted for its simplicity, familiarity, and power, operating similarly to Notion. You simply press “/” and type what you need — simple yet potent.

Getting started with Typedream AI allows you launch your website and get your business online today. The best part is that you can use the AI for free, no credit card required. Generate your website for free today →
