Morning person

On my summer holidays, when I was a kid, I loved to wake up early and go with my grandma to make corn bread. She wakes up before 6 AM to prepare the wood oven. She was always upset because I should be at sleep. It was an amazing feeling to start the day before the others, so much could be done, then we would go home while the bread was baking and I still could watch the morning cartoons on tv.

Sometimes, in my home (in the city) I would wake up very early to watch tv while eating some cereals. However, some years later I could sleep until 12 AM or so on weekends — no, I was not going out in the night before.

Currently, I am waking up at 6:20 AM, usually I arrive at work at 7:10 AM, however, I leave between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Some years ago, I was leaving earlier to run after work. I left my job at 5:00 PM or so. I was in a great mental and physical shape, my body was in a perfect routine.

Although I am a morning person, since I like to wake up early, don’t find real meaning on sleep — beside the need for resting — sometimes when I feel less motivated I fall in the bed trap. I stay in bed with fear to wake up and deal with the problems I have to deal. When I wake up later, everything is worse, spend more time leaving home, the peak hour, etc.

Nowadays I am waking up early without significant effort. I hope to keep this routine for a while. Maybe get up a bit earlier. I must say that the main motivations to wake up early are avoid traffic and start my daily post before I start to work. Therefore, the daily blogging was great to improve my routine, my writing skills, and my work.

An additional note, it depends on each one, but I do not go to sleep early to wake up early. However, at the end of the work-week, I do feel more tired. However, during the week I go to bed between 11:30 PM and 12:30 PM.
