The collector

I consider myself a collector, I keep the stuff I really like. From time to time I clean everything and sometimes I through some of the old drawings or so in the garbage. However, most of the childhood toys/books were given away or went to garbage. I am entirely fond of given stuff to others, especially to the ones that need. At the time I was ok with it. However, there is some stuff that I would appreciate today. Most of them have been through to the garbage for sure.

I do remember a book my brothers, and I loved. Some years ago I found it online — and it was expensive — but now I cannot find it (I will try another day with more time). The book was an interactive child’s book, we needed to solve a mystery. On the first page, we would rotate some mechanism that picked one “clue” (e.g., glasses, a pen, a scarf, a pipe, etc.) and then — don’t remember exactly how — the rest of the story would depend on that clue.

The story was about a mansion with several people, the housekeeper, the butler, the old lady, the pretty woman, the gentleman, and so on. The book was made in such a way that depending on the clue we pick everyone could be guilty. I am not sure if it was a murder or something that was stolen, but it was quite surprising. Moreover, the whole book had interactive parts and the most amazing was in the middle of the book a huge 3D unfold mansion with a lot of details.

The book ended a bit destroyed, we don’t know why, but when my sister was a baby every time she cried the only to stop was to fetch the book. Therefore, it ended a little bit destroyed — it was not a book made for babies.
