An Accordion Fold?????
So I found out what my type collection and research on a typeface was for.
A book.
Like I suspected.
What is different however, is the layout. We are doing an accordion fold booklet. It is an interesting way to layout the booklet because it can all flow to the end.
I had no idea what I wanted to do and how to incorporate my type collection with my research on my font Univers.
I eventually came up with two different directions.
The first direction is an alphabet of type showcasing the letters from my type collection against Univers. I feel like it would be a good way to compare and contrast the type visually.
My second direction was kind of creating a story from the different type I found. I got inspiration from @goldlunchbox on Instagram. The comparison here would be the different stories showing different forms of type.
Below is a sample of a collage I could make to create each story. Univers would then be the body copy.
I am not a hundred percent sold on either idea. But I know for sure I want to do some type of collage.
