For most of us, that’s not the sort of cash we can sacrifice from our monthly budgets without batting an eye. Spread the expense across the whole year though, and you might barely notice it’s gone.

So, how does it work?
Budgeting 365 is a nifty tool we’ve made to help you set aside tiny amounts of money each day all year long, which will accumulate to a whopping £667.95. It starts by taking 1p on day 1, 2p on day 2, 3p on day 3, and so on and so on.
The best bit is that it’s all totally automated, so it doesn’t require any effort from you. All you have to do is log in to your account, click on Extra Accounts, and select the Budgeting 365 Extra Account to set it up. Once activated, the tool will sweep the pennies up automatically for 365 days or until you tell it to stop.
On the off chance you haven’t used Extra Accounts yet, these are optional, individual accounts within your U Account, of which you can have up to 20. You access them from the same place and can move money to and from your main account and Extra Accounts freely and easily, but there’s no risk of spending any cash that’s in them with your card, for example.
