Boost Your COVID-19 Vaccination and Communications Efforts with These Free Resources

From its inception, U.S. Digital Response has focused on supporting governments and NGOs with their COVID-19 response efforts. As we’ve all dealt with this pandemic’s challenges for the last nine months, USDR remains focused on providing tools, resources and assistance throughout the course of this crisis.

With case counts at all-time highs and governments preparing to roll out COVID-19 vaccinations, our team at USDR has produced two new, free resources to help your team in the coming months.

Vaccine Provider Guide

USDR’s team has directly supported multiple city, county, and state governments with their COVID-19 vaccination planning. Drawing from guidance and insights from government teams across the country, USDR has developed a playbook that provides distilled learnings and tangible action steps to help governments distribute COVID-19 vaccines.

In this guide you’ll find:

  • A framework for vaccine rollout, including key areas of focus
  • Tips for assessing tech tools and vendors, including detailed questions to ask and factors to consider

This guide can save you time and help make better decisions in the vaccination planning process. Click here to access the Vaccination Provider Guide.

COVID Communications Research and Strategies

Government teams and NGOs creating COVID-related communications for their communities need more research to guide their strategies and outreach efforts. Seeing this need, USDR interviewed 39 individuals from throughout the U.S. to help understand sentiments, habits, and gaps for how people may think through choices and information related to COVID-19. The shared findings from this research are meant to help guide strategies to build trust in government COVID communications and to make COVID information accessible to all.

The research and recommendations include strategies and tactics for improved COVID communication, including:

  • Best practices for design
  • Partnership and outreach recommendations
  • Tips for making accessible communications
  • Communication trust diagrams

The research also includes analysis of the following key findings:

  • Where people go for trusted COVID information
  • What information is valuable, and why
  • What people do with valuable information once they have it

USDR’s research, findings and recommendations are publicly available to help strengthen and grow your COVID communications efforts. View the research and recommendations here.

USDR’s health program helps state and local governments meet the urgency of the COVID-19 crisis using our existing rapid response model to deliver fast and free support. Health officials and policymakers need accurate, timely, and trustworthy data to make lifesaving decisions. Communities need clear, accessible information to help guide their actions. Thanks to the generous support of The Rockefeller Foundation, USDR is positioned to address these challenges and continue to seek deeper insights to assist governments moving forward.
