Since we launched the Uber app for Windows Phone, we have collaborated with the Microsoft team to make it even easier for users of both our products to move around their cities. We kicked things off at Build 2015, Microsoft’s annual developer conference, with a sneak peek of an exciting collaboration with Outlook — a product that impacts hundreds of millions of users everyday. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella previewed this new add-in for Outlook earlier today with a demo during his keynote.

When it comes to staying organized and connected across devices, Outlook is your best friend. With the Uber add-in for Outlook, you can set an Uber ride reminder for any calendar event with a single tap. When it’s time to leave for your next event, Uber will send you a notification. Swipe on the notification to jump to the Uber app with the destination already set, and simply confirm your request. Whether you have an upcoming dinner reservation, doctor’s appointment, or flight, Uber and Outlook will help get you there on time.

“Hey Cortana, can you get me an uberX?”

Cortana doesn’t just keep you in the loop with what’s going on in the world — it also helps you manage your everyday life. That’s why we are excited for the new Uber add-in for Cortana coming this summer.

Cortana will now proactively prompt you when it’s time to head to the next event in your day and allow you to request an Uber ride using a simple tap directly from the Cortana canvas. Powered by Uber API’s Request endpoint, Cortana has your transportation needs covered.

The official ridesharing partner for Build 2015

To celebrate Build 2015, Microsoft and Uber are giving every Build attendee two free rides*! Use these rides to get around San Francisco, see some sites, or visit one of the city’s best restaurants. Simply visit the prize booth on the first floor and ask for an Uber card.

We look forward to rolling Uber add-in for Outlook out later this summer and continuing to collaborate with the Microsoft team to build even more seamless experiences for Uber and Microsoft users.

For more information stop by the Uber booth on the first floor of Moscone West — Office 365 Exhibitors.

Limit 1 card per person. Good for two free rides up to $10 each.
