Uber API takes a ride with Transit App

Now with the power of the Uber API, they’re adding another reliable option for their customers to get from point A to point B, and a way to save time and money in their daily commute.

Challenge: unlock Uber on Transit App
Our friends at Transit App are rolling out Uber to 47 cities, and they are letting you decide when that will happen. Starting today, Transit App will be counting how frequently people are using the app on its website. Each time you launch Transit App, the counter goes up. Once the app has been used 4 million times, Uber will be released across North America. Visit the Transit App site to learn more about the challenge.
Getting to your destination faster with the Uber API
We’ve all been there before–you’re in a hurry and you need to get to your destination as soon as possible. Once the integration goes live, Transit App customers will be able to request an Uber in Nearby Mode or simply through their trip planner, making it easier and faster for users to get where they need to go. Customers will not only be able to view real-time ETAs for their Uber, but they’ll also get approximate fare costs and trip comparisons. It will even take into account the time it will take for your Uber to arrive before you request it. If you decide to roll with Uber, all you have to do is swipe left or right to browse through the different Uber offerings available, select the one that suits your need, and you’re ready to go.
