Turning your Clocks Back & Preparing for the Winter Driving Season

Summer has officially come to an end, and we are now just days away from turning our clocks back and preparing for the holiday season. In addition to remembering to do all of your seasonal checks and preparations, Uber is joining the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to remind everyone about the importance of taking a few minutes to prepare your vehicle for the busy winter driving season.
It’s no secret that Fall and Winter make for some of the busiest travel periods of the year. With the majority of travelers likely to use vehicles to reach their destinations, it’s important that everyone does their part to help keep the roads safe.
So take a few minutes do these three things before hitting the road this winter:
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure your car is ready to tackle the busy roads
- Stay up-to-date on current NHTSA vehicle recall information by visiting safercar.gov
- And finally, sign-up for safety recall notifications so you don’t miss anything in the coming year
Let’s make sure everyone reaches their destinations safely this year because, as the NHTSA slogan goes, “Safe Cars, Save Lives.”
