The year 2019 is coming to a close and it is thus important to look back at the road traveled by the Ubex project over the past 12 months. Much has been achieved and even more was developed and launched over the course of the year, and so, the Ubex team would like to present a summary of the main achievements of the project.

Technical Achievements

Technical development had occupied the most part of the Ubex team’s time and effort over the year 2019 as the terms of the roadmap are pressing and the requirements to maintain the trust and support of the community are paramount.

The Ad Network section for publishers was launched. The key function of an ad network is an aggregation of ad supply from publishers and matching it with advertiser’s demand. The essence of the Ad Network on the Ubex platform resides in the broad monetization opportunities and convenient interface it grants webmasters to add their websites, create slots for banners and carry out all the necessary processes to ensure successful operation. Webmasters can adjust the sizes of their banners, choose audiences or limit advertising to specific topics.

The Data Collection Counter was launched. The Ubex-pixel Data Collection Counter ensures the monetization of websites by their webmasters and the full use of Ubex as a versatile and highly efficient targeting platform capable of generating returns previously unavailable on the market. The counter is one of the main functions of the system, as the quality of its data depends on the display of advertising and payments to publishers. In the near future, the data mining service will be launched in production and anyone can earn by monetizing their website resources.

The platform for data miners was launched, which allows users to mine user data for UBEX Tokens as rewards, which can then be monetized for a variety of services offered within the Ubex infrastructure. The procedure of setting up the data miner counter is very simple, as webmasters will only need to copy the counter code and insert it into the HTML template of all the web pages of their websites.

The Trading Desk was introduced as the centerpiece of the Ubex platform for launching ad campaigns. The Trading Desk allows the creation of advertising campaigns with various targets, uploading of banners as individual creatives and archives, creating an advertiser’s site attendance counter to track KPI for campaigns, generating reports on advertiser’s site visitors, getting support for the decentralized storage of crypto funds through MetaMask and payment of campaigns in UBEX Tokens, and replenishing advertising campaign accounts through PayPal.

The design interface of the platform website was updated and the statistics server was launched. The launch of the report server is the most important update introduced by the development team. Advertisers and Publishers now have additional tools for analyzing advertising campaigns and uploading various reports.

Banner moderation system and automatic moderation of creatives for Yandex were included in the system.

Black and White lists for optimizing system traffic were introduced to allow users to exclude a particular website when targeting, and ads will not be displayed on it as a result. The feature also allows setting ads only for a specific website or several websites.

Balance replenishment in USD was introduced to simplify and broaden platform fee payment and usage opportunities for users.

The Sharing feature was added, which allows users to share advertising campaigns, counters, balances, and reports with other users. The given feature will make it possible to share the management of an advertising campaign with other accounts. One of the aspects of the feature is that users can also give only a viewing status to some users, without letting them make any adjustments to the campaign. This will be useful for agencies in relations with clients and contractors.

The ability to filter required SSP networks when launching advertising campaigns was included. Last but not least, the possibility of blacklisting certain sites or entire SSPs has been included to optimize user convenience when working with the Ubex platform.

The Ubex development team also introduced a number of improvements that allow the platform to cooperate with advertising services, even if they do not operate on the basis of the RTB system. This allows the platform to connect to any operational protocol and assemble offers.

The Header Bidding feature was added to the Ubex ad network. Header bidding is a new advertising technology that allows publishers to take multiple bets on their advertising inventory at the same time, rather than consistently, as with the waterfall model. Thus, the publisher has more control over the auction, which will lead to an increase in profits. Thanks to Header Bidding, publishers can monetize their inventory and see a clearer picture of market demand more effectively.

A dashboard service was launched for comprehensive analysis of all traffic on the platform. The Ubex project will be using it along with partner companies. The service is necessary for a detailed understanding of how the traffic works on the platform. The service is exclusively for use by the Ubex project and its partners, and is not intended for use by customers, as it is a technical module for monitoring and adjusting platform activity.

The Ubex project development team is also focused on preparation for launch of a proprietary Data Management Platform (DMP) on the ecosystem to facilitate operations with large amounts of data. The creation of a proprietary DMP is necessary for the Ubex project to ensure that the platform’s AI and neural network have sufficient database processing power to manage large amounts of user data. The launch of the DMP will allow the Ubex AI to effectively identify target audiences without any lags or interruptions in platform operation. The development of the DMP is necessary to allow the Ubex project to make the successful transition to the CPA model.

Partnerships

The Ubex team also spent the year establishing working relations with multiple companies and signed several important agreements with advertising market leaders.

A cooperation agreement with Google was signed regarding the display of ads from Ubex on Google Ads channels and has been included in the list of official partners. The agreement signed between the Ubex programmatic advertising project and Google Ads foresees the placement of ads from Ubex on the channels and networks offered by Google Ads. Ubex will be acting as a Demand Side Platform within the framework of the agreement. Such an approach will allow maximizing audience reach and ensuring high levels of impressions around the world or in specific regions for advertisers operating on the Ubex platform.

The Ubex project signed an agreement with the Yandex Advertising Network (YAN). The agreement foresees the display of ads from Ubex over all Yandex Advertising Network channels. The conclusion of the agreement will allow all of Ubex’s clients to display their ads over the Yandex Advertising Network. The YAN audience comprises tens of millions of users and a large percent of them don not overlap with Yandex search users.

After the successful conclusion of an agreement with the Yandex Advertising Service, Ubex has concluded 12 more agreements with key SSPs to ensure large traffic volumes for users of the platform in various regions around the world. The SSP platforms operate in every key region of the world and will provide the Ubex platform with full coverage of millions of users.

Summary

The year 2019 was full of trials and tribulations for the Ubex project, but steadfast adherence to the goals of the project and the support of the community have allowed the development team to excel and achieve much. We sincerely believe that the coming year will be even more fruitful and will yield even greater success.
