Mobility has always played an essential role in people’s lives, being responsible for how people and goods move around the world. Furthermore, Mobility has also had a relevant impact on the environment and the development of cities as we know them today.

As seen in our previous article, Mobility and Its Impact on everyday life, Ubiwhere has always recognised the importance of Mobility, having, since its beginning, worked towards enabling a more technological and sustainable future, developing new solutions, and preparing for what is predicted to be the future of Mobility.

A thorough investment in the continuous improvement of its solutions through incremental and breakthrough modifications has led to the evolution of Ubiwhere’s mobility solutions which has helped the company position itself to set mobility trends in smart cities.

With more than 15 mobility deployments worldwide, Ubiwhere has provided real solutions to several mobility problems.

Smart Mobility Solutions in Europe

These 15 solutions all rely on Ubiwhere’s experience and flagship products. These are usually adapted in accordance with the clients and the situation’s specific needs to provide the best and more adequate solution possible, with interoperability being the key aspect in all of them.

Ubiwhere’s experience has shown that the impact and outcome of tech-based mobility solutions can vary widely. Our solutions rely on our expertise, and every use case has idiosyncrasies that need to be addressed and mapped in the technological solutions. To be fair, these are the heart and soul of the solution creating a concrete and built-to-spec ecosystem. Technology-wise, our day-to-day focuses on having an end-to-end offering to accommodate the use cases that our customers have in mind. Therefore, connectivity, sensing, data processing and modelling and AI/ML are ways to help the main actors to operate their mobility solutions. We find opportunities to improve the solution and reinvent the future in all of these projects and customer engagements.

Some cities focus on individual mobility, such as smart parking management solutions. However, the influence of sustainable and shared mobility has been increasing and has led to many more choosing sustainable solutions, like the fleet management platform in Trofa. Others, like Águeda, are right now building their own Mobility platform that entails the integration of every mobility domain of their territory to have a holistic view of their mobility operations and impacts on one another.

As seen, the world is looking forward to the evolution of mobility towards more sustainable and connected options. Ubiwhere is here to share its solutions with those seeking to improve cities and communities' mobility.

Within the Forecast Mobility 2022 that Ubiwhere launched in September, several mobility projects and products have been introduced, showcasing that the company’s solutions and expertise can be found globally but with a stronger footprint in Europe.
