As we’ve discovered, it’s not just members that like to brew and drink good beer. Over the past couple of months we’ve had a dozen different events enjoying to benefits of the craft beer scene, and in some cases the joys of brewing their very own.

Last month we hosted members of Maven LDN, the informal monthly social for the UK startup Food & Drink industry. This cheery group took over our second arch, rubbed shoulders, talked about trends, presented the top food brands coming from America and had a couple pints along the way. They proved just how much those little brands can have bite in the food and drink industry. You can read more about the food trends coming over from the US here: http://bit.ly/top5foodbrands.

The Edelman team at UBREW

The warm weather and sunshine of summer brought in a team from Edelman PR to get brewing and bonding. This group rented the whole space and kicked off the Friday with a team building exercise, complete with a learning presentation and work exercise in the morning. After enjoying the UBREW Summer BBQ, they split into groups and brewed their own beer, followed quickly by a rousing competition for best beer bottle label.

We’ve had a lot of interest in renting out the space, but that isn’t the only thing groups have been up to at UBREW. A small team from Eventbrite came down for their very own brewing experience without the hassle of clearing the place out. The crew learned the basics of brewing all-grain beer, were able to see it done first hand and then do it themselves!

In the spirit of welcoming members and non-members alike, we’re hosting a Member Tap Takeover Christmas Party on December 12th. Christmassy brews of our member’s own creation at UBREW will be flowing steadily while turkey pies are served and christmas tunes are playing.

If you want your Christmas beer to be featured at this event email reach@ubrew.cc ASAP. Your beer will need to be brewed and kegged no later than the 28th November.

Limited space is available to host your own Christmas party at UBREW with the first couple of Thursday’s and Friday’s already proving popular.

If you want more details, go to the events section on weareubrew.com or email katie@ubrew.cc.

We’ll also have news soon about the relaunch of our bar area in mid-November — so watch this space for an even better taproom and bottleshop soon.
