At Urban Company, we are hiring a 3D Motion Graphics Designer for the founding team of our new services and products — Wall Décor.

We invite you to join us in solving a complex challenge: how to seamlessly inspire, browse, and help choose the perfect interior design look. And then bring it to life for our customers.

We are looking for someone with:

• 2+ years of experience in a motion designer role
• Ability to work across a diverse set of projects & manage them effectively. Proactive communication is the key.
• Solid aesthetic sense with a keen eye for detail. Excellent understanding of clean UI, typography, alignment, and colours.
• Self-starter and can work with minimal supervision
• A keen eye for applying brand aesthetics and art direction to designs, with a commitment to keep refining the output
• High competency in creating motion with 3D files in Blender and/or Cinema 4D
• High competency in Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
• A passion for staying updated on interior design trends and wall décor — or a willingness to learn and grow in this domain
• Experience in creating animations by using Figma and Lottie is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Craft highly engaging CGI, cinematic videos of impeccable quality & production value across a diverse array of projects.
• Collaborate with visual designers to conceptualize and compose compelling assets & videos
• Establish & document a comprehensive set of animation styles to ensure consistency across all videos, ultimately contributing to Urban Company’s motion design guidelines
• Stay updated with advancements in animation, motion graphics, production design & generative AI
• You’re special — If you can develop mood boards to communicate design ideas in the pre-production phase. The storyboard has a clear storyline, annotations, copy suggestions, and motion and sound references.

What you’ll work on

In the following order:

• Collaborate with our 3D Designer to produce b-roll and/or walkthrough videos of 3D interior design spaces
• Create feature launches, and concept videos to showcase our Wall Panels’ assortment
• Feature, launch, onboarding & concept videos for Urban Company Home Décor’s in-app product journeys
