Teaching Fellow, UCD School of Information and Communication Studies (Temporary)The School of Information and Communication Studies at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a temporary teaching fellow. The duration of the appointments is 12 months, ideally beginning 3 September 2018.

The appointee will be expected to teach the following modules:
• Managing IT for Information Professionals (third year undergraduate)
• Research Design and Theory (postgraduate)

The Teaching Fellow will also contribute to the supervision of Masters theses for which a knowledge of different research methods would be advantageous (including quantitative methods), and support marking and tutoring across other modules.

The successful candidates will ideally be a scholar who has completed (or is near to completing) a PhD in Information Studies, Computing, or a cognate discipline and who is actively seeking to publish in peer-reviewed academic outlets and has experience of teaching at undergraduate level.

The Teaching Fellow is expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a commensurate contribution to School administration.

Salary Scale: €32,550 per annum (non-scale)
