This article will be interpreting, summarizing and evaluating ecosystem development of UChain from the last weeks, based on project progress, website, and community development.
Project progress
UChain has entered the 14th & 15th week of closed R&D. The following is the progress:
UIP0.1
- Windows (80%)
- Wiki API (100%)
- UPOS version is under development
R&D progress of UIP 0.1:
- Building the development environment for windows (80%)
- Documentation of the guidline of the API command line in Wiki (100%)
UIP0.2
R&D progress for UIP0.2:
1. UPOS block generation
Coinbase private key mining logic is improving. The verification consensus of blocks and votes is still under modification. The team also realized the complete separation of UCN and credentials, so that the original transaction command supports the creation of signatures and transactions of blocks and votes.
2. Token’s release
Additional models and transactions, as well as ownership transfer; added logic to certificate, enhanced validation consensus of blocks and votes, optimized memory pool and single block pool.
Other tasks
1. White box test for UIP0.2, stub code writing and testing
2. Debugging
3. Preparation for testnet release and documentation
JAVA beta has been completed
- All functions of UWallet have been developed
- The basic functions of the wallet have been developed. It has the ability of creating an Ethereum account, transferring ERC-20 tokens, viewing transaction records and additional information.
2. Backend development for blockchain browser completed
- The blockchain browser requires access to the backend service to get the blockchain data. This service runs on a node in the form of an API.
Ongoing
1. Access plugin for block data (40%)
- Our team has already built the framework for Mongo DB’s data plugin, and the data model is built, as well as the definition of relevant data interfaces.
2. Virtual machine development (10%)
- After detailed demonstration, Ethereum’s EVM is the most suitable solution for current virtual machines, and we are currently building a more efficient solution based on Ethereum’s virtual machine.

1. UChain website 2.0 has launched
In order to let all community members have a better understanding of our project progress and the development of the ecosystem, on November 30, 2018, UChain upgraded and launched the new 2.0 website. The upgrade also means that the UChain’s sharing economy blockchain has entered into the project implementation phase.
The official website has been upgraded to include: UChain Ecosystem, Testnet, News and Events, Dapps, etc., as well as content regarding the UChain Foundation and U.B Smart Ecosystem.

3. November 30, 2018 | UChain Product Review meeting
The meeting mainly summarized and planned for product development, operation and maintenance, architecture, front and back end design. During the meeting, the main problems and solutions in the current research and development process were proposed.
Community news
1. The weekly meeting of the community partners introduced UChain’s future plans and vision. Community partners regained confidence in the future of the blockchain despite the current bleak market of digital currencies.
2. Due to the market conditions, community activity is low. In response to the current community operations, partners expressed their opinions and suggestions, and actively participated in the construction and development of community building.
3. UChain testnet is now live with the Global Beta starting December 12. We will invite community members who are interested in UChain and have basic programing skills to participate in the testing process of the public chain, please stay tuned.
