What is tokenization?

UCoin is a project that bets big on tokenization: we are putting a lot of effort in that field, and we would like you to know more about the benefits of tokenization.

Tokenization is the process of transforming real value (such as money, stocks, credit card numbers, medical records) into tokens that represent their value, which makes trading the item much easier and safer. At UCoin we strive towards making cryptocurrencies as simple to use as possible, and asset tokenization is one of the things we work with.

Universal Coin International, the issuer of the digital currency UCoin, is planning to tokenize multiple projects during 2021 as part of its strategic plan in support of UCoin’s financial ecosystem.
We will convert rights to an asset into a digital token. This innovation in financial products creates completely new access to capital for startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, real estate projects, commodity markets, or funds — as well as access to new investment opportunities for investors. We have created intelligent investment contracts on a blockchain, so-called smart contracts.

Among the most relevant projects for tokenization are two hotels in Galapagos island, including a new eco-hotel to be constructed under the administration of the Six Senses chain. Also, group hotels in Guayaquil Ecuador (Hotel Courtyard by Marriott) will be tokenized. In addition, the UCI is exploring two additional real estate projects currently under consideration in Miami, Florida. Additional tokenization considerations include gold and oil reserves being negotiated in Ecuador and Texas.

We believe that tokenization is one of the many ways to advance businesses of the future, and what is your opinion? Don’t hesitate to share it, because we value our community’s feedback!
