Last week we left off at the beta version of the prototype. After taking into consideration all the feedback we received, our beta prototype was ready for the final tweaks.

Final Tweaks

For this last prototype phase, we focused on the minor details and adding color to it. We picked the color based on our logo, settling on a lightly burnt orange.

One of the main things was making sure that the fonts were consistent all throughout and that the icons were obvious enough for our targeted audience. As popular as they may be for the rest of us, they still might not be familiar with many of them.

Aside from coloring up the prototype and fixing aesthetic details, we also cleaned up the flow of it on Figma, so that it was as close as it could be to the real experience. This included any screens giving feedback on user actions to making sure that the right amount of attention would be attracted by its design.

In the end, we went from something like this:

Lastly, we also worked on the elevator pitch and a draft of the final presentation. In the elevator pitch, we conveyed the idea of bridging the gap between the older and younger generations, through moments of sharing life experiences. For the final presentation, we started by including key challenges, features, competitive analysis, and status of our prototype.

For next time:

We will be working on the advertisement for our app, a demo of the final prototype, and the final draft of the presentation.
