I am excited! This week, Udacity introduced two of the most fantastic Nanodegree programs ever. And THAT is saying something. After all, this is a company that teaches you how to build … flying cars! But seriously, Deep Reinforcement Learning? If you’ve ever seen DRL in action, you know how flabbergastingly amazing this technology is. As Content Lead Alexis Cook writes in her launch post:

“Deep Reinforcement Learning is the closest we’ve yet come to achieving Artificial General Intelligence — AI that can learn and develop like a human does!”

~

I’ll confess, I’m still very new to Deep Reinforcement Learning, but blockchain technology is something I’ve been tracking for quite some time, so I was especially happy to see our new Blockchain Nanodegree program open for enrollment this week! You may have seen the news from Venture Beat:

And Roshni Jain, Director of Learning Products at Udacity, introduced the program with this post:

Among the many remarkable stats Roshni shares about skyrocketing demand for blockchain talent, this one looms especially large, and makes quite clear WHY we’re offering this program:

“There are currently 14 blockchain developer positions available for every one blockchain developer.”

~

Speaking of developers, our Udacity India team shared such a heartwarming and inspiring story this week, you’ve just GOT to watch this video:

“I have confidence in myself. I can do anything with my computer and Android.”

~

#StudentSuccess stories are our absolute favorite articles to publish, and we had the honor of publishing a wonderful story this morning about a group of Udacity grads who have been so successful with their new self-driving car company, that they’re already looking to hire … more Udacity alumni!

And with that …. it’s time for:

The Tweet of the Week!

This was one of those weeks when it was REALLY difficult to choose just a single tweet, but we feel really good about the one we’ve selected. Hard to beat a tweet like this:

And THAT … is This Week at Udacity!
