It’s been a week of celebration at Udacity. We’ve been overjoyed to share so many stories highlighting the achievements of our students. These extraordinary individuals, who choose to learn with Udacity, amaze us every day with what they accomplish. It is an honor to shine a light on these remarkable people.

On Wednesday, we joined our partners at Google in celebrating the achievements of scholarship recipients in three different U.S. cities …

“When I get home, I immediately go to the basement and start coding!” —Rei Blanco

“Even if it’s a late night of studying, it’s better than coming home at one or two in the morning after a long shift at the restaurant.” —Paul Koutroulakis

“Not only do I want to learn how to code in order to help my company, I also want to be more respected in the industry.” —Mary Weidner

On Thursday, we joined the world in celebrating International Women’s Day!

“I am just thrilled about the scholarship opportunity, especially as it relates to the future. This industry gives me the possibility of working remotely, which would be an incredible benefit when I think about my family and the unpredictable schedule that comes with having children.” —Rachael Farnsworth

“Completing my Nanodegree program really showed me how resilient I am, so that I know I’m capable of achieving whatever I want to achieve throughout my career.” —Shana Hagood

“It’s a great feeling to know that my hard work through Udacity has opened doors I thought I would never walk through!” —Kat Halo

“I finally felt like I found the perfect blend of new skills and my past experience. I am loving my new job!” —Deeya Ranjan

“When they called and said ‘Congratulations, we would like to offer you a position as a Data Analyst,” I couldn’t concentrate … my mind was on cloud nine, I was just so happy. Udacity made me realize how important it is to actually like your job, and to wake up excited to go to work.” —Jennifer Tsou

We were honored to share one post in particular this week that brought all these themes together: Celebrating our students, Celebrating our scholarship recipients, and Celebrating International Women’s Day …

“I deeply believe that the adventure — which started in November, and which led to the creation of the Famous Women app — is something very special. It is a real lesson — not just about learning how to code, but a lesson in learning how to live.”
