In case you’ve ever visited a little-known site called LinkedIn, you may have noticed a few of these popping up:

That’s because Facebook and Udacity together just accepted 10,000 amazing lifelong learners into the PyTorch Scholarship Challenge!

Fantastic news, right? Right!

But! That wasn’t the only bit of great news that emerged this week! We’re also very excited to have just launched our new Digital Freelancer Nanodegree program in MENA!

“Today marks the launch of an exciting new opportunity for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region — our new Digital Freelancer Nanodegree program! We are thrilled to be launching this program in collaboration with ‘Maharat Min Google’, Google’s digital skills-building program for Arabic speakers. Together, our goal is to help empower aspiring learners to acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the global digital economy, with a special emphasis on women, and young workers just now preparing to enter the workforce.”

What’s that you say? MORE good news? Another scholarship? You got it! As recently highlighted by David Silver, head of Udacity’s Self-Driving Car programs, aspiring autonomous vehicle engineers in India just got a wonderful new opportunity:

“The KPIT Scholarships will provide the opportunity for any student in India to work on self-driving cars, regardless of their financial situation.”

How’s about we now head over to Twitter for even MORE good news? Sound good? Great! That means it’s time for …

The Tweet of the Week!

So, first off, let’s be clear, this week, we’re actually going to do more than one tweet. Why? Because those PyTorch Scholarship posts are all over Twitter as well, and we love it, so sharing some here!

Ok, ok, let’s wrap this up with something that isn’t PyTorch-centric. How about this one? Why? Because we showed up in a tweet with “Blockchain Beer,” that’s why!

And THAT … is This Week at Udacity!
