The big news for this week actually happens this weekend. It’s Udacity Festival 2018!

If you are a current student, or a member of our alumni community, then please consider this your invitation to Udacity Festival 2018! This 2-day virtual festival taking place Oct 20–21, 2018, will be a phenomenal opportunity to interact with the global Udacity community. You’ll hear inspiring success stories, get valuable insights, and have plenty of chances to network and make connections.

And speaking of Udacity events, did you SEE the Udacity Talks episode with Kai-Fu Lee and Sebastian Thrun??? Amazing! Independent of one another, they are wildly influential voices in the transformational field of AI. But to witness them together, in unscripted conversation, was a genuine revelation.

Self-driving cars and smart cities came up several times in the course of their conversation, but this certainly wasn’t the only arena where autonomous systems were provoking compelling debate. One very interesting example is this one:
