This Week at Udacity, October 27 edition
We’re so fortunate in that it seems not a week goes by where we aren’t sharing some remarkable story about our amazing students. This week is certainly no different, as just this morning we published … well … a remarkable story about one of our amazing students! Her name is Megha Maheshwari:
Despite a strong family network, early industry exposure, and an independent spirit, it would still be a long and remarkable journey for Megha — from growing up in India, to becoming a student of the Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree program at Udacity, to landing a job with Volvo Cars Silicon Valley R&D Tech Center in Mountain View, CA. Her dedication, growth mindset, and tenacity would be tested many times along the way. She took risks, faced down challenges, and weathered disappointments, but ultimately, she realized her dreams.

And here’s something you don’t see everyday! Udacity going live on Facebook to talk about … food!
You read that right. Thanks to our always-imaginative Digital Marketing Nanodegree program team, Udacity was live on Facebook, inviting students to learn about marketing in the food industry. The event was staged in chat format, and was moderated by program lead Anke Audenaert, with guests Lingling Chen of Nutiva and Jordan Schenck of Impossible Foods. You can watch the video here (pro tip, the action starts at about the 3:20 mark!):

If you spend any time on LinkedIn, you may have noticed some excitement out there recently around our Self-Driving Car Nanodegree program—our first graduates are celebrating!
And with that, we arrive at our favorite station along this route …
The Tweet of the Week!
Let’s continue the celebration from above, shall we? Yes!
And THAT … is This Week at Udacity!
