Did we launch a new program this week? You bet we did! Now, any developer interested in getting a significant leg up in the field of immersive technology can do so with a program that is compact, efficient, and effective! ARKit arrives to 400 MILLION devices this year, and through our new Learn ARKit program—built in collaboration with Unity—you can master ARKit to create amazing augmented reality experiences, using either Unity or Swift.

We announced Learn ARKit on October 4th, and I have to say, it was pretty exciting to see all the stories roll in, including one from our partners at Unity!

Not to mention Computer World, the Economic Times, Campus Technology, and more!

We also continued to explore all things Self-Driving Cars, and this week, we had the opportunity—thanks to some fabulous insights from David Silver (who heads up Udacity’s Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree program)—to explore Self-Driving Cars in the IoT Age:

The data produced by self-driving cars can be understood as a kind of IoT equivalent of what Carl Jung called the “collective unconscious”; a sort of shared universal mind. In the case of self-driving cars — and in fact all “smart” devices — this collective mind is dynamic, and always being upgraded and optimized.

And with that, we come to your favorite feature and mine …

The Tweet of the Week!

For this week’s selection, we have a wonderful example of one of our favorite things to see—students inspiring students!

And THAT … is This Week at Udacity!
