Last Wednesday’s #UDLchat on Twitter was another outstanding learning experience. Elizabeth led the conversation using a protocol designed to help us reflect on our thinking and question our assumptions. The 4A protocol focuses on Assumptions, Agreements, Arguments, and Aspirations.

For a bit more about the protocol, check out the #UDLchat Question Preview for October 17.

  • Q1: What role do educators’ assumptions play in implementing UDL?
  • Q2: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement and WHY? “UDL is NOT one more thing — it is thee thing that anchors, blends, and naturally allows every learner to experience an education of freedom.”
  • Q3: Get ready to Argue! What would you say to a colleague who says: “I am already doing UDL — and — what I am doing has worked for years — and it’s still working.”
  • Q4: What are some of your aspirations as you continue to live and expand a UDL mindset #UDL4Justice?

Visit the archive put together by Ron Rogers to see the fabulous interactions and great conversations in action.

How would you answer these questions? Do you have additional Assumptions, Agreements, Arguments, or Aspirations to share? Let us know in the comments, or tweet them out using the #UDLchat hashtag.

The next #UDLchat will be Wednesday, November 7th from 6:00–6:30pm PT / 9:00–9:30pm ET (UTC-5) on Twitter. Sign-up for reminders if you don’t want to miss the lively, fast-paced conversation!
