What is “Udyhistory Supplementary Resources”?

A few months ago, I created a YouTube channel titled “udyhistory”, dedicated to creating educational videos about history. Despite the fact that I have only recently started updating the video series weekly, I have quickly come to realize that there needs to be an external location for extra resources that could help supplement the videos.

The first real instance of this was with my most recent video on the Opium Wars. This video contained a primary source that many historians consider essential to Chinese history but I only covered in part in my video. So I elected to share a link to the resource in the description. However, that’s when I realized that the primary source itself is a little bit difficult to find isolated from other information, so instead I chose to create my own hub of resources that would supplement udyhistory videos.

That is why this Medium Publication was created. It won’t be updated for every video, but only for the ones that require supplementary resources. If you haven’t seen the channel itself, I suggest taking a look at it here.
