In 2018, Ugly Duckling Presse celebrated its first 25 years with performances, readings, and exhibitions all over the country and abroad, from Brown University and Woodland Pattern to Jogjakarta, Moscow, Paris, and Berlin.
The year-long celebration culminated in our first gala benefit event on March 19, 2019, honoring the work of Burning Deck Press and Keith & Rosmarie Waldrop.
The first part of the evening featured toasts and readings with UDP authors and translators Bela Shayevich, Anna Gurton-Wachter, and Asiya Wadud, along with Rebecca Gee, Lee Norton, and Barbara Epler.
