Gambling Whos To Blame

Is it Only ourselves

I originally wrote this little rant as I firmly believe that we all have choices in life,we are not forced to do anything that we do not wish to, To give in to peer pressure or to blame peer pressure or the other pressures of life is just a simple way out, an excuse if you will. We have become to dependent of others helping us out in times of need, well not actuall need, just the mess we have created for ourselves. Its time we stand up and not be ashamed to say No, I can not afford this needless expense. I have an addictive nature, I know as I have fell foul of being consumed by what ever it is I have been addicted to. Xbox, computer games and the latest is candy crush. These past and present addictions only cost me time but can be as destructive as other addictions in other ways. I also at times crave biscuits, chocolate and other foods but I am not overweight (well maybe a few pounds) I have never really struggled with my weight as I have always been active and sporty all my life, in my later years I am not as active but still I am not considered as overweight. Why you may ask! I only eat my cravings in moderation and I also know that if I gorge on things that are not good for me I will probably suffer ill health. So its simple I DO NOT DO IT. I recently received an email saying I had money in a gambling account and if I did not do something with it I would lose it. So at the moment a few times a week I play poker with the couple of pounds in my account, at times I have been tempted to deposit more so I can bet and win more money each time, I started with less than £2, I am now upto the massive some of £8.40. Imagine if I started with a £100 or even £1000 I could have made plenty. I am an addict, but I did not deposit any more money and why you may ask, because I can not afford to loose any money at all so I dont. Very simple. If you can not afford to suffer the consequences of your actions be it in anything you do then STOP. DO NOT do it and more importantly don’t expect to receive sympathy. Stand up be responsible for your own actions
