At #UKvsCOVIDHack we’ll be building solutions for key workers and charities facing challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic. As we’re all working completely remotely, we’re asking teams to publish a Medium article as a demo of their project. If you’re joining us at the hackathon, please nominate one of your team to sign up for Medium, write a post on your project and Slack a link to the Hackathon organisers. Then we can collate all the posts together and bask in your fabulous work. Here are some ideas for what to include in your post.

The problem you’re trying to solve
Whether you joined us with an idea ready to go or our livestream presentations gave you insight into a new field, let us know who your team aimed to help and the issues they were facing.

The solution you built
Give us an overview of your product and how it solves the problem you took on. We’d also love to know the tech you used; languages, frameworks, collaboration tools and skill sets.

A demonstration
Screenshots, screen recordings, wireframes, or video of someone using your project would be fab! Having a visual will really help everyone to understand your project and how it will help others.

Your code
Please add a link to the repo of your work (on GitHub or Bitbucket), ideally with a readme including how to run the project. The aim is to have a library of useful, open source resources that can be shared and modified for different needs, to help as many people as possible.

Your team
Let us know your names, and feel free to link to Twitter handles, GitHub accounts and LinkedIn pages. Then if people want to ask questions or get involved in your project, they know how to get hold of you. You could also add a photo of a Zoom call or let us know how you celebrated at the end of the hack! It would be lovely to get to know the people behind the hacks.

Tags
Please tag your post with #UKvsCOVIDHack and any key words that would make it easier to find for the people you are trying to help.

And that’s it! We’ll gather all the posts together at the #UKvsCOVIDHack Medium page so you can see each other’s work and share in your successes.

We can’t wait to see what you build!
