Azuki NFT

Hong Kong collector and real estate mogul Adrian Cheng has become a patron of the Azuki NFT collection, which includes 87,000 anime-inspired avatars. In January, the collection raised $29 million.

By February, Azuki had surpassed $300 million in sales, with the collection surpassing competitors such as Bored Ape Yact Club and CryptoPunks.

On Twitter, Cheng tweeted that he acquired Azuki “secretly” and hinted at plans to play an active role in the development of the team behind the collection. According to Cheng, he wanted to show “new forms of art” to a wide audience.

NFT is Cheng’s new find. In July, he announced plans to expand his K11 empire into mainland China. The latest project, called K11 Ecoast, will build a complex on Shenzhen’s waterfront, located in the Nanshan District.
