LG Electronics will launch a crypto wallet
Tech giant is testing its own Wallypto digital token app.
South Korean company LG Electronics will launch its own Wallypto crypto wallet, according to local news outlet News 1 Korea. The tech giant is currently beta testing the Hedera Hashgraph blockchain-based application.
According to the plans of the developers, the wallet will be launched before the end of this year. So far, it only supports Hedera HTS tokens, but after the official launch, the list of supported networks, cryptocurrencies and tokens may be expanded, the article says.
The company also plans to use the development for various digital projects, including support for LG ThinQ gadgets equipped with voice control and artificial intelligence technology.
South Korea continues to actively support the development of blockchain technology. At the end of August, the country’s second largest city, Busan, announced a partnership with the FTX crypto company to launch a local crypto exchange and blockchain development.
