Announcing the Uniq NFT PFP Hackathon 2022

Develop a new PFP collection for the chance to win UOS and have your project distributed exclusively on the Uniq Marketplace
Digital assets, whether in-game items, games themselves, art, or anything else, all have a place in the Ultraverse. We understand the importance of owning digital assets, as well as the flexibility needed to truly make them unique.
So, Ultra stepped up and created an NFT standard like no other. Our standard was specifically built with flexibility and control in mind, allowing new opportunities for players, developers, artists, and brands. Now that the Uniq Marketplace is live, you can harness the power of blockchain technology in a way no one thought possible.
With the recent release of the Uniq Marketplace, it’s now time to open up these possibilities to more of you with our very first NFT hackathon! We want you, the most creative minds in the NFT community, to create a collection of profile picture Uniqs (NFTs) that will be exclusively distributed on the Uniq Marketplace. Winners and some participants will also be given UOS rewards to commend them for their creations!
🎨 Get featured on the Uniq Marketplace
The Uniqs on Ultra’s marketplace have been flying off the shelves, with each collection selling out in just a few minutes. Our community is deeply interested in what we’re doing and we’re looking to bring a new generation of PFP projects to our users. Since users on the Ultra platform will soon be able to use their Uniqs as profile pictures, now is the perfect time to show off your skills and get your project featured on the Uniq Marketplace.
The Ultra PFP NFT hackathon will run from the 3rd of October, 2022 until the 7th of November 2022. After that we’ll take two weeks to select our favorites before we announce the winners on the 21st of November, 2022.
You don’t need any experience in the NFT space or coding to enter, just a passion to create a dope PFP (profile picture) project that you’ll pitch to a group of judges. For this hackathon, you’ll need a solid concept that ties your collection together, some way to generate variety in your project, and a way to generate unique art. We are explicitly disallowing AI-generated art.
Applicants must build a set of no less than 5 (with a limit of 10,000) unique designs which, together, form a Uniq PFP collection. While optional, NFTs on Ultra are Uniq and we encourage you to add interesting and rewarding utility to this collection for holders to enjoy.
Your collection will be judged on the following criteria:
Art quality
High-quality artwork that is visually striking, well produced, colorful, and that stands out in the wider market.
Originality
A unique, interesting, and original PFP project that breaks the mold. Different from what is currently being produced in the scene and stands out from the rest.
Community value
Community value can be defined by extra utility, perks, limited access, and game-related functionality.

To kick off our first NFT hackathon, we’re rewarding our most excellent entrants with big cash prizes and the chance to sell their collection exclusively on the Uniq Marketplace.
The prize pool breaks down as follows:
Grand prize
1 winner, $10,000 USD in UOS tokens
1st runner up
1 winner, $5,000 USD in UOS tokens
2nd runner up
1 winner, $3,000 USD in UOS tokens
3rd runner up
1 winner, $2,000 USD in UOS tokens
Honorable mentions
10 winners, $1,000 USD in UOS tokens each
💻 How to enter and win up to $10k in UOS
To enter the hackathon when it starts on the 3rd of October, visit ultrauniqhackathon.devpost.com and follow these simple steps:
Register for the hackathon by clicking the “Join Hackathon” button
Here you will need to sign up to create a free Devpost account, or log in with an existing Devpost account.
Download and install Ultra
You’ll need to create an Ultra account and provide your Wallet Account, which can be found in your Ultra Wallet, to submit your project.
Submit your work
Complete and enter all of the required fields in the “Enter a Submission” page on the hackathon website.
Please note, the submission deadline is the 7th of November 2022. Ensure enough time to create and submit your project by following the instructions mentioned above.
There are some eligibility restrictions that we would encourage you to read through before starting work on a collection.
