The Value of Integration
What is interesting about decentralized networks, like Ultra’s, is that a constellation of applications can use the information stored on-chain to provide unique experiences that wouldn’t otherwise be possible.
With each new integration, exciting new possibilities for cross-pollination occur which grows the value of continued integrations. The more applications that use Ultra’s tech to benefit their users, the more their users benefit from Ultra’s tech. The user’s identity becomes deeply tied to the blockchain account that acts as the anchor for who the user is across all of those integrations.
At Ultra, we believe that this is the most basic tenet that defines what we believe will be the future of the metaverse, or as we like to call it, the Ultraverse.
Presenting the Ultra Discord Bot!
The Discord bot acts as one of our proof of concepts that links a user’s identity in one application to their permanent identity on Ultra’s network. In this context, linking simply means that within Discord you’ve identified and confirmed that you control your Ultra Mainnet blockchain account. This is a non-permanent action which you can unlink in the future if you wish. What is important to underscore here is that what we are showing is a glimpse of the power of the Ultraverse.
By providing on-chain data to technologies like Discord, Ultra is proving that your digital identity can be both decentralized and globally accessible. In essence, your identity is a collection of things about you and things you own. It’s your history, what assets you hold, your IRL identity, and much more. Being able to access, manage, and manipulate this identity from many applications gives users real freedom to create their own digital futures.
Tutorial for Using the Discord bot
First, you’ll have to make sure that you’ve created an Ultra Mainnet account. If you haven’t please go and download Ultra’s client and create an account.
It’s ok, we’ll wait.
You’ll also have to join our Discord server. Lots of great events happen over there, so don’t miss out on the fun!
Now that you have the basics in place, you can link your blockchain account to your Discord account by
Start by finding your blockchain account within the Ultra wallet.
Click on the Discord Bot and send them a DM.
Once the Direct Message chat opens, send the command “!ulink” followed by your Ultra wallet address. So, if your account is 1aa2aa3aa4aa, you’ll send the command “!ulink 1aa2aa3aa4aa”.
An embedded message will arrive, follow the instructions to send the tiny amount of UOS which proves your ownership of the account.
Boom! .. You just linked your discord user to your Ultra blockchain account!
Tipping is a core functionality which we have built into the Discord bot. It’s safe to use, and you can send UOS to any account.
Let’s quickly tip a fellow Ultra user via Discord with real UOS!
All you need to do is write the command “!utip” followed by the specific UOS amount + tagging the recipient of the transfer with “@” followed by their Discord username.
You add funds that you can use for tipping by sending them to the “ultra.discrd” account from within your Ultra wallet. We don’t recommend holding a large sum in this tipping account!

For a total list of commands of what the Bot can do , you can write “!uhelp”, and the bot will lay it out for you.
Important things to be aware of:
- If you unlink your account it auto-withdraws remaining funds to your account.
- Balance is only based on what you deposited into the bot account.
- “!ubalance” command is only available through a DM
- Discord identifiers are 100% private on-chain unless you leak it yourself
- For now, you can not transfer or sell Uniqs from within the Discord bot
Potential for the future
As Ultra’s platform grows and matures, access to a wider range of rich and valuable information about what happens on the network will be available on-chain. This expanded functionality will include integrations with games or apps that rely on Uniqs for proving ownership of digital assets.
A whole range of interesting use-cases open up within Discord specifically, and for the ecosystem more generally.
Users could be able to view their friend’s Uniqs right from where they are chatting together, and make offers right then and there on their favorites.
Contests that are run within Discord could have prizes sent directly to user’s wallets, and either UOS winnings or Uniqs (or both!) are on the table here.
Whole text-based games could be built within Discord that leverage Ultra’s blockchain and its Uniqs. What happens in those games all happens on-chain and could be part of a larger constellation of games and experiences which are played with thousands of other players, using the blockchain as the final source of truth.
The possibilities are endless and exciting!
