Company Updates
Internal Testing on Ultra Arena Continues!
The second internal tournament on Ultra Arena occurred on the 7th of February, this time featuring CS:GO as the game of choice. The tournament aimed to test various bug fixes around Uniq rewards and bracket display on the app while providing a fun evening of games for both the Ultra community and the team.
More Uniqs were up for grabs and it was an eventful evening of CS:GO. The games were streamed on our Discord, with the Ultra community once again getting involved and adding to the fun.
As well as testing Ultra Arena internally, we have been focusing on developing a new tournament type for Ultra Arena. Free-for-all (FFA) is now available on Ultra Arena and unlocks opportunities to facilitate more tournaments with a wider range of games. We have another internal tournament planned, with Overwatch 2 being the game of choice, to test this tournament type.
These internal tournaments are crucial as we make our way toward exclusive closed beta tournaments on Ultra Arena.
Final Batch Added to Wave 3 of Ultra Games!
February saw the Ultra Games app reach a significant milestone as the final batch of players were introduced to Wave 3, the conclusive phase of the app’s closed beta program. Feedback and insights provided by these players are instrumental to the enhancement of the app’s overall experience.
Next up, is the public release of Ultra Games. Keep your eyes peeled on our Twitter to stay updated.
Utility Deliver: AMA for Uniq Holders!
On the 28th of February, Ultra Power #3, #7, #9, #10, and Elemental Souls holders were invited to a VIP AMA with Seth Pyrzynski. Seth is an ex-Riot and Blizzard team member, and founder of AI/CC.
We’ve got more exclusive events for these holders, as well as other upcoming utilities for other Uniqs on our marketplace. Download Ultra to visit the Uniq Marketplace.
Fashion3 Uniq Drop!
We recently collaborated with fashion3, a digital fashion house, to bring the first ‘Phygital’ assets to the Uniq Marketplace!
Fashion3’s wearable collection features 6 pieces, including a t-shirt, a jacket, pants, a jacket and pants combo, and a bag. Each Uniq from the F3 First Flight collection comes with a redeemable physical copy.
The drop schedule has been completed, but there are still fashion3 Uniqs available on the marketplace. Check them out now here.
Development Updates
New Ultra client version deployed!
In February, we released the 2.3.0 update. Here are some of the improvements and updates that were included in this release:
- Uniq Marketplace: Search filters are retained when the page is refreshed, meaning you can start from where you left off when browsing Uniqs.
- Uniq Serial Number: We’ve added the serial number of the Uniq on each Uniq page. With the serial number on the Uniq page, you can determine which number (ID) a Uniq is from a collection.
- Full-screen Uniqs: We’ve added full-screen functionality for both images and videos for Uniqs. You can now view the art of Uniqs in full-screen under the gallery tab of the Uniq page.
With 2.4.0 on the horizon, we’ve got more exciting features and improvements on the way.
Game tokenization update!
Our progress with game tokenization remains steady. This is a core feature of Ultra, enabling true ownership of games for players.
Currently, we are focusing on user-interface elements relating to how a player’s game library would function with tokenized games. This links to how game Uniqs would be shown and managed within your game library.
We’re also finalizing game license updates when it comes to transferring ownership of game Uniqs. Following this, we will begin internally testing the end-to-end flow for tokenized games.
More updates on game tokenization are on their way!
Deep linking set for 2.4.0 update!
Deep linking functionality is set to be released with the 2.4.0 update of Ultra. Once deployed, anyone will be able to link users from any website to the game and Uniq pages within the Ultra client.
This enables additional marketing opportunities for game publishers to promote their games and Uniqs, influencers to share content on Ultra, users to share Ultra with others on social media, and much more.
This feature will also assist in enhancing the user’s experience in reaching content across our applications.
