This sixth edition of Ultra Notes includes several updates and news relating to Ultra, such as Ultra Games Wave 3, new games and Uniq drops, and the redeem code functionality.

Ultra Notes is a series of regular digests of company updates, improvements, and relevant bug fixes to the Ultra platform.

Company Updates

Ultra Games Wave 3 is coming soon with new games!

We recently announced that the third and final closed beta of the Ultra Games closed beta, known as Wave 3, will start on the 14th of December. Each wave is a step forward in ensuring that the app and infrastructure scale effectively.

For each wave, we grant access to a select group of users to test the app and share their valuable feedback. During Wave 3, players will get access to the newest version of Ultra Games and test the speed, storage, and scalability of the app. Also, they will help test free-to-play games and validate the use of Ultra Games to verify integrations and validate DRM-protected games, among other things. Users participating as testers will be asked to share specific feedback on their experience using the app, including the recently updated games pages, and functionalities relating to purchasing games.

• Application form: We published a form that anyone interested in participating can fill out. We’ll select around 1k users during the course of the closed beta. Apply now!

We’ve been announcing various games coming to Ultra Games during Wave 3. Here’s a list of the new games joining the store during this beta stage:

• Alfred Hitchcock — Vertigo: Solve the mysteries in this thrilling narrative game based on Alfred Hitchcock’s classic story!
• Double Cross: Find the hints action platformer where you can explore alternate dimensions!
• Forgive Me Father: Search for answers in this dark retro horror FPS inspired by H. P. Lovecraft’s novels!
• Garfield Kart Furious Racing: Start your engines and compete with Garfield, Jon, Odie, and friends in this fast-paced racing game!
• Josh Journey: Darkness Totems: Group up with your friends in this hand-drawn beat’em up game with co-op gameplay!
• Kardomance: Kardomance is a free-to-play NFT card game where you can collect, trade, and engage in epic battles using your deck of cards. Explore their Uniqs collection on the Uniq Marketplace!
• Koakuma: Koakuma is a metaverse MMO-ARPG where you can explore, collect, craft, and battle deadly monsters. Check out their Uniqs collection on the Uniq Marketplace!
• Mable & The Wood: Can you save the world in this Metroidvania with shapeshifting powers?
• Marsupilami: Hoobadventure!: Can you save Palombia with Punch, Twister, and Hope in this colorful 2D platformer?
• Mummy: Join the gods in an open-world multiplayer RPG where you can fight, craft, earn, and collect digital assets to customize your character!
• REZ PLZ: Save the world using magic in this pixel-art puzzle platformer with co-op mode!
• Toki: Swing into the game with Toki, the wacky monkey, which brings the cult action platformer originally released on arcade machines in 1989 to Ultra!

New Twitter account for the Uniq Marketplace!

The Uniq Marketplace launched just over three months ago,

and we decided that this vibrant community of Uniq NFTs collectors, creators, and enthusiasts deserved their own dedicated account. We launched the official Uniq Marketplace Twitter account, where you can find everything that has to do with Uniqs (digital assets on Ultra), their utility, and more!

Ultra NFT PFP hackathon winners announced!

After running our very first NFT hackathon for five weeks, the judges casted their votes, and the winners of this competition were announced!

These are the winning entries as chosen by the judges:

• Grand Prize: Dev Heroes (awarded $10,000 in UOS tokens)
• 1st Runner Up: Lords of Goblin Town (awarded $5,000 in UOS tokens)
• 2nd Runner Up: Ultra Run Meta (awarded $3,000 in UOS tokens)
• 3rd Runner Up: Ultra Apes (awarded $2,000 in UOS tokens)
• 10 Honorable Mentions: Each receiving US $1k equivalent in UOS tokens

Aether Games, Fulqrum, and Bit Hotel are joining Ultra Games!

We signed some relevant and key partnerships with notable gaming companies. These partnerships are crucial to bringing new games into the Ultra Games store.

• Aether Games: A game development studio with a mission to provide high-quality games that utilize the advantages of blockchain technology. Aether Games will incorporate Ultra’s technology into its titles, distribute games on Ultra’s storefront, and develop NFT collections for players. Read more about the partnership.
• Fulqrum Publishing: Formerly known as 1C Entertainment, Fulqrum Publishing is a global games publisher responsible for launching over 100 game titles, including indie games and in-house productions. Learn more about the partnership.
• Bit Hotel: A social-first pixel-art metaverse game where players can hang out with their friends, compete for rewards, and earn while playing. Bit Hotel has also released a collection of Uniqs with in-game utility. Check it out on the Uniq Marketplace.

Polkastarter’s GAM3 Awards nominees include titles coming to Ultra Games!

Our partner, Polkastarter Gaming, is organizing the GAM3 Awards, the first-ever annual show to highlight the best web3 games. We’re happy to support them, offer prizes to winners of some categories, and to have David, co-CEO of Ultra, included as one of the judges!

We’re also excited to share that two of the games coming to Ultra Games have been nominated this year:

• Cards of Ethernity has been nominated for Best Strategy Game and Best Card Game
• Cross The Ages has been nominated for Best Strategy Game

The winners will be announced on the 15th of December. Cast your vote for your favorite games in web3!

New drops!

There two drops on the Uniq Marketplace in November:

• Bit Hotel: Metaverse game, Bit Hotel, released a special Uniq collection on the Uniq Marketplace on the 30th of November. These Uniqs include various perks within Bit Hotel exclusive for holders, such as receiving 500 Bit Hotel tickets, exclusive access to the VIP area of the Ultra conference room within Bit Hotel, and more!

• Moon Eyed Mermaids: After their first drop on November 8th, the team of Moon Eyed Mermaids released a second group of Uniqs on November 24th. With varying utility depending on rarity categories, these Uniqs also include a donation to support http://Seeturtles.org in collaboration with SaveHatchlings to help save sea turtle hatchlings. Development Updates

Redeem code is ready for use!

As mentioned in the previous Ultra Notes, redeem codes are now available on the Uniq Marketplace. These will allow users to redeem Uniqs directly within the Ultra platform and can be obtained through competitions, campaigns, and perks from owned Uniqs.

A few weeks ago, we used the redeem code feature for the first time and sent codes to some Uniq holders. Select Uniq holders successfully received the initial batch of codes and were able to redeem their free Infinity Pet. We received valuable feedback about users’ experience using the feature and plan to continue using the redeem code functionality for further utility and marketing activities!

Ultra Wallet Chrome Extension progress!

The Ultra Wallet Chrome Extension development is progressing steadily. We’re currently working on adding two key features. The first functionality lets users disconnect all connected sites using the wallet app. Secondly, we’re linking the extension to Simplex, a crypto transactions processing system, to buy UOS using the extension.

Additionally, we are in the process of preparing for a code audit for the wallet extension. We’ll share more details in another update.

Uniq pages supporting MP4!

We’re developing a feature to allow Uniq pages to support MP4 files. We’ll share more details about this feature soon. If you still haven’t tried the Uniq Marketplace, download the client and start browsing!
