Company Updates

Electron client migration!

On September 27th, we commenced our closed beta phase to test our all-new Electron-based client. Currently, several users are actively testing the client, and their valuable feedback will significantly contribute to our preparations for a complete migration to Electron. We’ve already received plenty of feedback, with numerous fixes already in the works.

The transition to Electron promises to bolster our efficiency in developing and rolling out new features and builds. Furthermore, this shift will streamline navigation within Ultra, creating a more user-friendly application experience for our players.

September’s tournaments on Arena!

In September, we celebrated our second month of tournaments, offering a diverse range of games and formats. 4,200 UOS was rewarded, along with a range of physical prizes and Uniqs.

Additionally, we were thrilled to partner with organizations such as GAM3S (formerly Polkastarter Gaming) and two of our ambassadors, Capet and Lombra, to launch exciting tournaments. These collaborations mark the beginning of officially sanctioned tournaments on Arena, and we’re eagerly looking forward to involving more organizers on our platform.

October’s tournaments are set, so download Ultra and find tournaments around your favorite games.

This marks the initial strides towards witnessing Ultra on a global scale, as we anticipate an increase in marketing collaborations with our partners in the future.

Development Updates

The latest features from Antelope are LIVE on Ultra!

The latest Antelope protocol features have been activated on Mainnet! The latest upgrade brings a range of blockchain-level enhancements to developers using Ultra, including:

  • Improved transaction efficiency
  • Streamlined development processes for developers
  • New crypto primitive for smart contracts
  • Transaction retry — ensures your transaction succeeds by pushing it until it goes through
  • Validation of transactions before pushing to the network
  • Bug fixes, stability improvements, log enhancements, development infrastructure improvements

The next chain upgrade aims for Antelope Leap 5.0. Stay tuned for more updates.

Electron client fixes!

With the Electron closed beta underway, we’ve received plenty of feedback from players regarding bugs and minor issues within the Electron client. We have resolved the following bugs found by our players:

  • Simplex to load correctly within the client
  • Change the name on the marketplace from “Ultra NFT Marketplace” to “Uniq Marketplace”
  • Maximizing the app cropping the window
  • Ensuring the application icon takes you back to the homepage
  • Resolving the slow animation within the Uniq cards

Resolving these issues and other bugs that come from our player’s feedback remains crucial as we work toward a full migration to an Electron client.
