Ultra Arena aims to be the premier application for hosting token-based tournaments for amateur to professional players. As the closed beta approaches, Ultra Arena will play a pivotal role within the Ultra ecosystem.

Ultra Arena is a gaming tournament app developed in conjunction with an unannounced partner. The app uses Ultra’s blockchain technology to enable players and organizers to engage in competitive gaming and win digital assets. The platform has been a large component of our 2022 roadmap, and we’re delighted to finally share it to the world!

As we continue to expand our application ecosystem, we believe Ultra Arena will provide added value to players and create more rewarding opportunities, while accelerating the adoption of web3 esports along with web3 games in general. The platform will integrate seamlessly with the Ultra client and will be easily accessible from other applications hosted on Ultra.

Ultra Arena is a joint venture between Ultra and a third party — the first of the ecosystem’s kind. The collaboration is focused on leveraging the capabilities of the Ultra ecosystem and technology to create a next-generation esports application. This partnership allows us to assemble a dedicated team to serve the esports community and unlock more value from the Ultra platform.

Ultra’s Drive to Grow Web3 Esports

Ultra Arena offers an innovative way for players to compete and earn through playing games. Here, amateur to professional players can form teams and compete for digital assets in the form of Uniqs and $UOS.

In the current esports world, the focus on professional players and large prize pools leaves little opportunity for amateurs to monetize their experience when competing. However, with the use of NFTs and $UOS, we can unlock new revenue streams and opportunities for amateur players in the ecosystem.

Unlike traditional tournament platforms where players compete for prizes that are either fiat currency or assets held by game developers, Ultra Arena rewards teams with assets that they can truly own and have valuable utility within the Ultra ecosystem. This unique approach allows players to benefit from their tournament winnings in a more meaningful way.

Players, influencers, brands, and developers will find new marketing channels, community experiences, and revenue streams through Ultra Arena, allowing them to monetize their time competing and reach wider audiences.

Ultra Arena prizes will consist of the following:

Uniqs are Ultra’s version of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and can represent a wide range of digital assets, including tokenized games, in-game assets, profile pictures, players accounts, guilds, exclusive access tokens, and much more. Uniqs provide players with benefits and utility within games and other applications based on Ultra technology, making them valuable assets to own.

As well as digital assets and utilities, Uniqs can also represent physical assets. NFTs can go beyond the digital realm and can authenticate ownership of physical items and assets, thus enabling the potential to create more tangible experiences for Uniq holders.

$UOS Tokens

UOS is Ultra’s native token that powers the ecosystem. Players can use them to purchase content that dramatically changes the way that they enjoy games on our platform. Thanks to the token’s decentralized nature, $UOS can also be traded on external exchanges for other cryptocurrencies.

Ultra Arena aims to facilitate a competitive scene around web2 and web3 games and engage communities in ways that weren’t previously possible. Competitiveness within games can be an important factor in retaining players and growing the popularity of a game, and Ultra Arena aims to make a game’s experience more enjoyable for all — whether you’re competing or not.

Ultra Arena’s place in the Ultra Ecosystem

Ultra Arena is an application that will be available within the Ultra client. A single login grants you access to our different applications, with Ultra Arena being the latest addition.

Developers looking to distribute and grow their games can rely on Ultra Arena to boost interest in their offerings and strengthen their communities. Along with the game distribution platform and asset marketplace, game developers can also leverage the tournament platform to incentivize players to play their game and earn rewards for doing so.

Tournaments with Uniqs and $UOS as rewards can be integrated as core components of new marketing strategies and community management tools. They can be used to drive engagement and participation in games which, in turn, creates a more vibrant and loyal community.

Players will be able to browse tournaments, form teams, enter tournaments, and track their statistics through Ultra Arena with the history of their escapades forever emblazoned on our ultra-fast blockchain network. This improves efficiency when it comes to social aspects such as inviting friends, as well as distributing prizes as each player’s wallet is linked to their profile. Who you are is what you have done. With Ultra Arena your gaming triumphs are now publicly visible.

Ultra Arena Quote from CEO

“Esports is a significant factor behind the ideation and development of the Ultra ecosystem. Web3 esports is still very much in its infancy and we believe it has the potential to empower a broader range of players.

We’re driven toward making competitive gaming more accessible to all gamers while promoting more competitive environments within web3 games. We believe Ultra Arena will engage gaming communities like never before.”

David Hanson, Co-CEO of Ultra
