Winter Break Training Week

A week before the start of the Spring semester, the A Team returned to Amherst for 6 days of focused training and team bonding. This is always the part of the season when the team truly begins to feel like a brotherhood, and this year was no different.

Players arrived Monday night, stuffing into the off-campus apartments of their upperclassmen teammates and sleeping on couches or air mattresses. We planned a tight schedule for the week, with daily double sessions featuring sprint workouts, scrimmages, hill sprints, hiking, and lifting, as well as team bonding activities including movie night, team breakfast, spa night, bowling, and board game night. It was a challenging and rewarding week where bonds, brains, and bodies were all strengthened together, and now we look forward to the start of the spring season. Some highlights below…

Hiking, snowball fights, and deep thoughts at the Amethyst Brook Conservation Area,
Butterfield Hill repeats are fun…to watch,
So was the US Open Final between Colombia’s Revolution and Denver’s Molly Brown
Board games sharpened our minds
Bowling improved our accuracy…hopefully
and spa night to round out the week with some relaxation.

Expect more from us here over the next couple weeks, and in the meantime…check out the team store or…
