As we move into 2025, Umbrella is fueled by a year of resilience, innovation, and expansion.

2024 was a pivotal year, where we successfully deployed across eight ecosystems and enhanced our infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of DeFi, real-world assets, and emerging protocols.

Now, as we enter 2025, our focus is twofold:

• Expanding our ecosystem further, reaching new chains, protocols, and projects that need custom oracle solutions.
• Technical advancements, including improved data aggregation, enhanced validator tools, staking programs, and the evolution of our data layer for greater composability.

With these strong foundations in place, 2025 marks a new phase of growth and refinement.

This roadmap outlines the key initiatives, technical advancements, and ecosystem expansions that will drive Umbrella’s evolution for 2025.

Phase 1

🟪Expanding Data Aggregation Methods

Introducing new aggregation techniques, improving accuracy, security, and adaptability for real-time derivatives trading and stablecoins.

• Planned Improvements:

Greater flexibility for enterprise clients to choose the best aggregation technique for their specific use cases, including real-time derivatives trading and long-term stablecoins.

🟪 Advanced Data Feed Architecture

Strengthening oracle reliability to enhance the data feed composition by dynamically adjusting data source weighting based on liquidity and trustworthiness.

• Planned Improvements:

1. Data source diversification: Expanding the number of trusted and high-liquidity exchanges and DeFi protocols integrated into Umbrella’s oracle network.
2. Automatically adjusting the weight of the sources based on their liquidity and volume.

🟪 Website Revamp

Redesigning Umbrella’s website to better cater to enterprise clients and high-value integrations.

Planned Improvements:

1. Focused on clearly presenting enterprise oracle solutions, customizable data feeds, and high-frequency data services.
2. Clearer product positioning to showcase the value of Umbrella’s customizable oracle services.

🟪 On-Chain Data Explorer v1

Launching a transparent and real-time monitoring dashboard for on-chain data feeds, improving visibility and accessibility.

This would allow everyone to see real-time price updates across all supported chains.

🟪 Shared Data Repository
Implementing a Shared Data Repository alongside an API layer to improve the traceability and accessibility of on-chain data.

• Planned Features:

1. Validator data recording: Validators will write data directly to the shared repository, enhancing the transparency and traceability of feed composition and calculation processes.
2. API Integration: An API layer will enable seamless interaction with the shared repository, allowing for efficient data access and management

Phase 2

🟪 RNG v1.5 Upgrade
Scaling our Random Number Generator (RNG) by leveraging the shared data layer that simplifies data requests for greater scalability.

• Planned Improvements:

1. Scalability enhancements: A modular design that can handle increasing requests across multiple blockchains.
2. Integration with blockchain ecosystems: Making RNG v1.5 easier to integrate into DeFi protocols, gaming platforms, or DePIN protocols that require secure randomness.
3. Pre-pay approach: Allowing projects to pay only for the random numbers they require.

🟪 Enabling AI Agents with On-Chain Data

Introducing an API layer to provide structured access to on-chain data for off-chain AI-driven applications.

• Planned Features:

1. Structured API Layer: Implemented on top of the Data Layer and designed to provide blockchain data, ensuring easy and efficient access.
2. Validated and real-time data: AI models will have access to trustworthy, tamper-proof blockchain data, improving decision-making accuracy.

🟪 Validator Dashboard v1
The planned features include building a dedicated validator portal to provide real-time insights into network performance and rewards.

🟪 Ambassador Program
Launching a community-driven initiative to engage passionate supporters in content creation, ecosystem growth, and developer onboarding.

Phase 3

🟪 On-Demand Data v1
A customizable and composable data solution, allowing enterprise users to access real-time, user-defined data streams on demand.

🟪 Self-Service Feeds
Enabling clients and DeFi protocols to fine-tune the composition of their data feeds according to their specific security, performance, and risk management requirements.

Planned Features:

1. Data source selection: Clients can choose the data sources they trust.
   Pick the data sources they trust.
2. Custom aggregation methods: Flexibility to select the preferred aggregation technique, including Median, TWAP, and or VWAP.
3. Configurable Heartbeat and Deviation Thresholds: Ability to define heartbeat intervals for data updates and set deviation thresholds to trigger alerts or fail-safes during abnormal market conditions.

🟪 New Staking Programs
Expanding UMB staking models to incentivize long-term engagement and network participation.

• Expanding to New Ecosystems
  Continuing to deploy on new blockchains and projects requiring customizable price feeds and high-frequency data solutions.
• Co-Marketing and Partnerships
  Strengthening partnerships and collaborating with blockchain ecosystems through co-marketing initiatives to onboard new communities and projects.

As we enter 2025, Umbrella is focused on scaling, refining, and innovating to meet the evolving needs of the blockchain industry.

This roadmap reflects our commitment to delivering high-performance oracle solutions, expanding into new ecosystems, and providing enterprise clients with more customization than before.

Beyond technical advancements, we are also actively exploring strategic partnerships with RWA platforms, DePIN, and DeFAI protocols to expand our oracle services into emerging tokenization markets.
