Weekly Recap

Hey Umbrellians,

As June begins, and we start on our #RoadToMainnet, we are excited for what lies ahead. With our platform now on public testnet, we are progressing steadily towards this goal. We have also been forging numerous partnerships over the preceding months, building out the beginnings of a strong ecosystem of infrastructure providers, application layer solutions, exchanges, and other crucial partners. As we get to mainnet, we will be looking to continue to integrate more and more of these partners, particularly those that will be starting to utilize our oracles in a live environment.

This is only the beginning, and as we continue to forge new partnerships, our ecosystem will continue to grow and strengthen. Currently, we will have a focus in June of continued testing, product refinement, enhancing existing feature sets, going live on BSC Mainnet, and integrating more of our partners to start to use Umbrella’s oracles.

In terms of development progress this past week, our engineering team has recently implemented automated E2E testing for pull requests and deployments, added automation features to our validator process including how tokens are topped up, and added in new L2 data pairs for a new partner. Additionally, we have been working on improving our current Block Explorers to be able to retrieve consensus data securely. We are also working on some new and exciting functionalities to help improve cross chain messaging that will be rolled in a future release, as well as some custom data feeds for another new partnership prospect. Overall, a lot of things moving in development that is helping to keep our focus towards mainnet launch on BSC within the next few weeks, so stay tuned for more updates.

Some of our team was also in Miami last week and into the weekend for the Bitcoin 2021 Conference, the world’s largest annual cryptocurrency conference. An estimated 20,000+ attendees, mostly from the US, converged over the past few days for the sold-out show. We took a video camera with us so expect to see some clips from all the various events we hosted and attended throughout the 4-5 days we were down there. Stay tuned for some interesting clips in the coming days after we sift through everything and pull out the interesting stuff to share with you.

This coming week, we will be continuing down the #RoadToMainnet. We will also be looking to start to onboard community validators, rolling out some new features for our platform, and releasing an updated product roadmap. Stay tuned!
