April marked a pivotal period for Umbrella. Our recent Table Talks session provided insights into these efforts with updates and strategic shifts that are steering our path forward.

Technical Updates
The session kicked off with Eugenio, Umbrella’s Product Owner, who discussed recent advancements on the tech side. He announced the successful completion of tests on the Concordium blockchain and Rootstock, with plans moving forward for a mainnet rollout. Additionally, Eugenio unveiled that Umbrella is set to run a node on the Concordium network and stated, “We’re excited about our integration with Concordium; running a node on their network is a strategic move that fortifies our partnerships.”
Eugenio also discussed the creation of new data fetchers for Rootstock, aimed at smoothing the integration of smart contracts and boosting backend operations. This initiative is a key part of Umbrella’s strategy to enhance data utility and accessibility, especially within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Adding another layer to our security and decentralization efforts, Eugenio noted that Umbrella is relocating its server infrastructures from the US to Frankfurt. This move underscores Umbrella’s commitment to maintaining robust and secure operations globally.
Highlight from the Token2049 Event
Despite unexpected flooding in Dubai, Token2049 was a success. “The event went beyond our expectations in terms of connections and validating our expansion strategies in Bitcoin. Meeting with potential partners who are as excited about our technology as we are reassures us that we’re on the right path” Philippe highlighted.
Welcoming New Talents and Embracing New Roles
During the session, the team introduced Sam to the community, the newest addition to our Business Development team, and announced a significant role transition for Philippe, who has moved into the position of Senior Advisor. Reflecting on his new role, Philippe remarked, “This shift allows me to focus more strategically on Umbrella’s future. It’s about leveraging experience to guide our growth and navigate the evolving market dynamics.” This change is designed to capitalize on Philippe’s extensive experience to guide Umbrella through upcoming challenges and opportunities.
Marketing and Community Engagement
John provided updates on Umbrella’s marketing endeavors, emphasizing the success of recent Galxe campaigns, which have significantly boosted our community engagement on social media platforms. “These campaigns are not just about growth but fostering a deeper connection with our community,” John explained.
