Umbrella Table Talks — March Recap

Apologies for the technical issues we encountered during our latest Table Talks. Don’t worry, though — we’re here to cover everything that was discussed, so let’s dive right in!
Business Developments
The conversation began with updates from the business development team. Philippe shared exciting news about ecosystem integrations, including the OneFinity chain and Arthera. He emphasized,
“Our partnerships are more than just formal agreements; they’re about extracting maximum value for our community.”
Specifically, Umbrella will serve as the primary oracle for the OneFinity ecosystem and, for Arthera, besides providing price feeds, Umbrella will also operate a validator node.
Philippe also mentioned ongoing efforts to maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring their needs are met. For instance, Umbrella introduced numerous data feeds for JewelSwap’s lending market on MultiversX, which has expanded their pool offerings.
Exchange Listing Plans & Marketing
Moving on to an eagerly awaited topic — the “UMB listing.” John informed us that the team is making significant strides towards the upcoming exchange listing. While the specifics remain confidential for now, an exchange has been selected, and a listing date is being arranged. This listing is expected to take place in the next few weeks, with the possibility of more listings in the future.
In terms of marketing, John highlighted the success of the recent Galxe campaign, which attracted over 4,000 participants and helped our Telegram community grow from 9,000 to 13,000 members. Another similar campaign is in the works to keep this momentum going.
John reassured that UMB marketing strategy is focused on real achievements, partnerships, product innovations, and new features, stating:
“We’re not just making a brief appearance; we’re committed for the long term.”
He also shared that influencer marketing strategies are being aligned with our listing plans and other initiatives.
Technical Roadmap
Eugenio then shared an exciting development in technology. He introduced a new solution the team is working on, called “Data layer”. The new Data Layer is designed to enhance transparency, composability, and permissionless access to data, more updates will be shared soon, so bear with us!
Moving on, Eugenio also discussed ongoing collaborations with new blockchain partners like Concordium and Umbrella efforts to address audit findings, including the implementation of multi-sig functionality on Concordium as recommended by auditors.
Team Expansion
Last but not least, the team announced it is expanding across various functions to support the growing workload. This expansion includes business development, front-end development, back-end development, and operations within the Umbrella Network. New hires have already been made in these areas, and further growth is planned.
