The backbone to any successful DeFI project is a properly audited codebase. That said, we’re able to share some great news. Umee’s first official audit report — conducted by PeckShield — has been finalized and the results indicate that our codebase is solid and safe!

“The current code base is well structured and neatly organized. Those identified issues are promptly confirmed and addressed.”

The audit focused on our smart contract source code on Ethereum. Through the audit, minor issues were identified as are detailed in the report. Our engineering team promptly addressed those issues and they are now resolved, per PeckShield’s confirmation.

“Overall, these smart contracts are well-designed and engineered, though the implementation can be improved by resolving the identified issues, including 1 medium-severity vulnerability, 4 low-severity vulnerabilities, and 1 informational recommendation.”

In the report, you will find PeckShield’s methodology, summary, key findings, and detailed results. User and protocol security are of utmost importance to Umee as it concerns mainnet deployment. We want our community to feel safe, secure, and confident regarding our codebase as this will make Umee as successful as we all believe it can be.

We have started new rounds of audits with several leading auditors in anticipation of the upcoming mainnet launch. We will keep the community posted on the results and findings. If you have any comments or thoughts, let us know. Our team would love to hear from you. This is just the next step in our interoperable cross chain DeFi journey!
