Umeevengers Phase 2: Gravity Wars
With the conclusion of Umeevengers Phase 1 in the books, our next challenge for Umeevengers has arrived! The Umee team is excited to announce the second phase of Umeevengers, an adversarial testnet — Gravity Wars!
Gravity Wars Goals / Objectives
Conduct attacks on the Umee Network and Umee Bridge, find vulnerabilities, exploit other validators, and ultimately give Umee Bridge implementation a “real world” stress test! Gravity wars will house an environment that allows the “free reign” of validators on the network to do as they choose. This means the ability to collude with other validators, find points of weakness amongst others / the network, and complete testnet objectives to the best ability possible. Validators may even have to work together with their peers to complete some objectives 😉
Validator Selection Criteria
Experienced validators, previous exposure and solid performance in other adversarial testnets, and past participation in other Cosmos-SDK testnets. We are looking for seasoned validators who can help Umee stress test our code and give our technology its first “true combat” experience!

Testnet Task Scope
Validators will be assigned main tasks to complete each week, with a focus on completing the objective, not a focus on how it was completed. The testnet tasks will include typical objectives such as keeping high % uptime during load bursts and competing to accumulate the most stake/voting power in an adversarial environment and have bridge-specific objectives such as competing to run the most profitable bridge relayer against traffic outburst and network fee spikes. Validators will be encouraged to exploit the network and each other and attain as most points as possible. It will be fun!
Timeline
Please make sure to submit your validator application for the Umeevengers Phase 2 testnet as soon as possible. Gravity Wars will be limited to 100 validators spots, in which Umee will select the most experienced and top-performing validators. The current start date the Umee team is eyeing to officially launch Gravity Wars is around December 20th, 2021.
Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, December 14th, 23:59 UTC.
