Muslim voters say: #CantStopOurVote

Media pundits and candidates have talked an awful lot about Muslims this election cycle — usually, without a single Muslim in the conversation. Not with the #CantStopOurVote conversation.
One reason that politicians get away with bigoted rhetoric and anti-Muslim proposals is that too often there is no political cost. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
This is why, as part of MoveOn’s #UnitedAgainstHate campaign, we’ve partnered with our friends at MPower Change to launch an initiative to reach and mobilize Muslim voters in this election and beyond. Because we know Islamophobia and anti-Muslim bigotry won’t end on election day. So our Muslim members and MPower Change will be there on November 9th to hold all elected politicians accountable.
As a part of this ongoing MuslimAction.Vote project, we organized a #CantStopOurVote Twitter town hall to highlight the recent spike in anti-Muslim hate crimes and highlight the Muslim political voice that is possible.
